MANORBORN

        Manorborn is an annual literary journal featuring poetry, short fiction, and essays, and black and white art and photography.  Our 2007 edition is now available.

Copies are still available of Poems of Place, our previous edition, an anthology of poems about Harford County, Maryland.

Call for Submissions
Manorborn
2008

 

The Harford Poetry and Literary Society is now accepting submissions for its 2008 annual anthology, Manorborn. We are accepting memoir, poetry, fiction, essay, and black and white art and photography based on the theme of Memory.  There is a reader's fee for non-members of $3 per poem, maximum 5 poems and $10 per story. Contributors will receive a complimentary copy. Manorborn is available at amazon.com and is distributed and sold locally. See Submission guidelines below:

 

1. All submissions should be typed on unlined 8½ x 11 paper using 12 point Times New Roman or similar font. Art work and photos should be no larger than this format.

 

2. Poetry can be single spaced. Maximum 39 lines per poem and 5 poems per contributor.

 

3. Memoir/fiction/ essay should be typed double-spaced. Maximum word count per piece is 1,500 words and 1 story per contributor.

 

4. Be sure to include a SASE for a reply to your submission. Manuscripts returned upon request. Manuscripts will not be returned unless sufficient postage is included.

 

5. Deadline is APRIL 1, 2008. Publication is planned for Summer 2008.
