The Harford Poetry and Literary Society meets at Rockfield Manor in Bel Air on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. to read and discuss all forms of poetry and literature. An informal group, we often host guest readers, conduct writing workshops, or hold critiquing sessions. Programs are announced in The Aegis, the Baltimore Sun, and the City Paper. Consult the Events Calendar page for activities and meeting dates. A meeting is held the third Saturday of each month September through May at 1 p.m. in the Bel Air library. The meetings begin at 1 p.m. and last until 3 p.m. We conduct an open mic reading or critique writing workshop. At the conclusion of the reading/workshop, there is a brief business meeting The public is always invited and welcome to all meetings and events. The Harford Poetry & Literary Society is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization which relies on the contributions of its members and the public. Membership dues are $15 per year.
